I know all about the canderell stuff but it makes my hips hurt:(

Strange i know but i get reall bad symptoms when i use canderell and the blue make.

I also know that if you are treated for breast cancer you are not allowed to use these sweeteners.

So what else can i use and where do i buy it.

I do not eat sweets and choices but bitter coffee is just not something i can drink  i have tried and i can do black but not bitter:o
It's winter now and the hot stuff goes down well but i would like to cut the sugar.

In any case Mila, unless you're diabetic, a teaspoon or two of sugar is not going to kill you... see if you can get the unprocessed stuff

My girlfriend uses it and I've tasted it myself. Better than aspartame if you ask me. I prefer sugar though...keeps the metabolism up 'n running :)

Where does she buy it?

My metabolism can ran on the fat on my tummy...

Had a thread asking about natural sweeteners. A lot of people made a lot of suggestions there. Check it out?

I can tell you that fructose is great in tea or with cereal; terrible in coffee. Still looking for the perfect sugar substitute for coffee. Will try stevia next.

+1, but only with "nice" coffees. Not with frisco :p

Why do you not want to use sugar?

Everything seems to go wrong with me. I swear if this is what 30 is like i'm dreading 40:(

Hyperglycaemic : sugar just not good for me:(

I'm trying to lose weight too. And the fruit and veg doctor said i should cut simple sugars and milk.

So now i decided on black coffee cause soya is just :sick: x10
But i'm struggling with bitter coffee:o

I dunno. Will ask her when I see her a bit later :)

You won't burn the fat on your tummy much if your metabolism is slow :p

YOu tell me:( It's a terrible struggle..
I always wondered about woman with these incredible leggs and huge upper bodies.... i know why know:o

Why not try tea?

Most instant coffees are overrated in anycase. O and also go check out Ava's thread :)

I use Stevia. It comes in a white 150 Ml bottle from the pharmacy. I think I got mine from Dischem.

label says "Health Connection Wholefoods"
Stevia Herbal Liquid Sweetener
www.health-connection.co.za
(021) 701-5290
made in South Africa

it goes nice in Tea, not so much in Coffee... have not tried it in baking but apparently you can. 6 drops = 1 teaspoon of sugar.

15 Kj per 100 Ml.

you can read more in this thread...

stevia is great. in cereal you can't really tell it's not sugar. in coffee you will notice a slight aftertaste but it's quite bearable

You shouldn't just stop adding sugar all together. What you need to do is to slowly ween yourself of it. Say you take 2 sugars in your coffee start by drinking 2 sugars for 2 days then 1.5 sugars for 2 days ect. If you do it this way you'll be use to the bitter taste.

best part is when you down to 0 sugar for a while and you add sugar to the coffee it'll be too sweet and you won't like it.
