I would agree with that. 10 gigs should be more than enough for the average user (80% of SA). I know I sit back in Awe/Disgust at some people commenting on downloading their 30 gigs for the month and complaining because they have been cut off (some I know are legit though), While I sit back and try to manage my b/w as best as possible to try get the most out of my 3 gigs while still getting some work done (and I do spend about 4-6 hours online at night, Plus My Fiance uses the line for all of her Research work).bb_matt said:As for what the cap should be, 10gig lowest.
My gut feeling tells me that Telkom will stick with 3gig regardless, because, that's enough data for anyone, right ?
Everyone knows that all broadband is for is pornography and pirated goods ...
I have a few friends that run gaming websites in the US, that do reviews on most Online games. Now every now and then I get asked if I wouldn't mind checking out a new Alpha/BETA game and writing a review... This month I got asked to check out 3 games. At an average of 700 megs per game, I had to refuse 2 of them and only choose one to do the review on as otherwise I wouldn't be able to do anything at all, and even then I had to be careful and I've got very close to hitting my 3 gigs with the extra 789 megs this month, and video conferencing with my Fiance while she was doing work overseas this past month..
Cant wait for the day (if it ever comes) That I can check them out with out the fear of being disconnected (Throttling is the same in my books) and 10 gigs should be perfect for most people
Of course I also know if I got given the 10 gigs, I would download all those extra games to check, and Maybe even finally update all of my programs and operating systems and get close to the 10 gigs now just like I get close to the 3 gigs. Give me 30gig and I'll be as happy as can be, though i'll still be smiling with 10 gigs
