Suggestions for dessert

I am leaning towards doing something with meringue ... maybe those little meringue nests with a filling ... berries and cream, or cream cheese with lemon?

something very easy and well liked also not so sweet.

can of ideal milk - must be chilled over night.
large can of pineapple pieces.
1 packet of tennis biscuits
1 packet of pineapple jelly

whip the ideal milk till thick and frothy.
pour the juice of the pineapple pieces into saucepan and mix with jelly, bring to boil and stir till jelly is dissolved.
pour into whipped ideal milk and stir till mixed properly, add pineapple pieces.
layer pineapple mixture and tennis biscuits.
put in fridge and serve when chilled.

Vanilla panacotta with a layer of reduced (and tart) berry 'jelly' on top ...... simple but lush ;)

Two small scoops of vanilla sorbet/ice cream or frozen yogurt.
Dribble over one tot of Ameretto liqueur.
Finely grate some dark chocolate over it or a light dusting of strong coffee.
(a personal recipe..it looks good, and is simply divine and very easy to make lol)

Mmmm, yeah a really good whisky would work and I didn't even think of Frangelico, yum.

You can go really fancy with this and do the french flair and go for a proper cognac.
Please make sure that is says cognac on the bottle as you dont want to embarass yourself if it not cognac.
FYI cognac comes from the region cognac as champagne comes from the region champagne.

Hmmmm, been wrestling with the idea of sharing my recipe. I'm pretty sure it will blow your mind.

Ingredients:

a packet of butter croissants,
a jar of nutella,
2 punnets of cream,
a packet of flaked almonds,
1 vanilla pod.

Method:

1. De-seed the vanilla pod, add it to the cream and let it infuse over a low heat in a saucepan.
2. Roughly chop up the croissants into chunks.
3. Put a layer of croissants into a baking dish and lather with a dosing of nutella.
4. Sprinkle with the flaked almonds.
5. Repeat the process until you have used up all the croissants, nutella and flaked almonds.
6. Pour the vanilla infused cream over the layered concoction.
7. Cover with tin foil - Bake for 20 minutes at 180.
8 Remove tin foil and bake for a further 5 minutes at the same temperature.
9. Serve warm with the best quality ice cream you can find.

K4k rich, but incredibly tasty. Enjoy!

Do want!

I've had philo pasrty filled with nutella and served with ice cream.
Nutella makes everything delicious - Thailand pancakes with nutella are awesome (like a roti)

I like that there are online guides for making your own nutella without all of those preservatives :D
