A headsup:
The Cyborg F.L.Y. 5 screwd me over so badly in my BF3 game just now!
Like I couldn't shoot (with the mouse) as a soldier, because the flippen joystick's throttle was on min/max. As soon as I set it in the middle again, I could shoot again.
After I figured that out, I took the time to remove ALL the joystick controls from the solder + vehicle profiles.
Then the other problem was that NONE of the buttons and the YAW controls was correctly assigned. Like I couldn't even fire the heli/plane by default.
Oh, and you have to invert the vertical look with the joystick.
After that whole fiasco, I've actually managed to fly the plane with the joystick which was much easier than with the mouse/keyboard.

Ya it's not the joystick that screws you over it's BF3's settings
I've also got the FLY5 and really love it. I can actually be somewhat effective in a chopper and not fly straight into the ground lol.

The past 2 weeks I started playing BF3 again and I couldn't fly the jets or helicopters properly 
Like I racked up quite a few 0:20 scores trying to fly.
Then after some digging, I found this YouTube video w.r.t. the BF3 deadzone setting that is at like 30% or something absurd: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bz9JoP8Oe1g
After changing mine to 0.000000, I could actually start flying and aiming for once! It is really amazing what the difference is if you remove that crap setting!
So Nakedpeanut: if you haven't made that change, I would strongly suggest you do so!

Personally a keyboard that has anti-ghosting is more than enough for me, I can't fly with the mouse it's not easy.
