I want to buy games.....:o

I like games like Siberia and the old Kings Quest mask of eternity.

Like you all can guess i’m new to the whole PC gaming thing.

On playstation i like Ratchet and Lara. But i’m evolving into a pc gamer now and would like to know :

What is Myst? ( would i like it)

What is Guild wars?

Is the longest Journey a good game.

Broken Sword: Sleeping dragon???

Circle of blood.

I’m no good at too much fighting and driving, i do not like things like war craft and the sims. (strategy)

I like solving puzzles and something with a story... mind numbing skop skiet and donner just makes my heart race and i suck at it.

Help:o Please:D

Sam and Max season 1...its like R30. Think its decent, haven't had a chance to install it yet. You might like Myst I think if you enjoyed the Kings Quest series.

Where do i buy sam and max ( i know i'm clueless) i would like to buy online if possible:o

Guild wars is almost like world of warcraft and its also online but its free to play.

Maybe look into the CSI games since you like puzzles. story is okay.
Myst III Exile great game also nice puzzle to solve. Story way better (http://www.take2.co.za/games-myst-ultimate-compilation-pc-dvd-rom-2100625.html)
Lemmings You must try it its awesome. not really a story as much but still great.

Also maybe check out The Settlers 5: Heritage of Kings.

Myst is a bit slow, but if you like non-obvious puzzle solving go for that.

I enjoyed Longest Journey a lot. There's quite a lot of text involved, and none of the puzzles are that hard, but it's got an interesting story and isn't frustrating.

Edit: Oh and why not try something like Grim Fandango if you're enjoying the whole adventure game thing. That's another really well designed classic.

I bought myst and was deeply let down. I just walked around completely confused and eventually gave up because nothing was happening. Perhaps i just wasn't smart enough for the game but it was dead boring.

Thanx Guys!!
I forgot about monkey island!! I lovvveeedd it! :D

Mila specifically said no "skop, skiet en donder" games. Orange Box only has Portal which is puzzle-esque. The rest are pretty much "skop, skiet en donder".

+1

I just suck at skop skiet and donder:( I work myself up and my heart race and i go all agro:o

Gets me thinking that one of the reasons I like Grim Fandango/Longest Journey is that there aren't any "wrong choice" puzzles, ones where you go and make a mistake and you don't realise until it's too late and you can't finish the game.

And you can't die. So much more relaxing than games where you walk around a corner, and bang, you're dead.
