Well, ok then. If you want to argue semantics, half of the team was youth and the other half was not. Still a great achievement. Would be similar to Arsenal having won the Double this season with a very young side...

Difference between arsenal and man at the time, manu only had about 2-3 players that were in their early 20's in the starting lineup so the main team were not really young in todays terms.
Arsenal have a lot younger players and more of them.

Giggs, Scholes, Butt, Beckham and one of the nevilles = 5.

Scholes was played a lot of the time on the bench and butt (need to check though) if I remember correctly so its 3 not a very "young team" in my books.
 
Not in the starting line-up, playing 21 games means nothing, u came come on 5 mins before the end at it will still say you played a game.

Look at the page I linked. They made up the core of the team and played only a little less than the other older players. In some cases this doesn't even hold. Giggs and neville and Butt played 30 games and beckham 26. I rest my case.

Like I said you had 3 players making up the starting line-up who were in their early 20's, not a young team.You dont understand the concept of a player coming on before the 90 minutes are up and being granted a "game" in their stats.

You have no case to rest mate, its called not knowing how to debate a point.Am I going to get reported now?

So did I,unlike you some of us had followed them before that season and had not started watching football that year.

Like said in other threads some people know the facts from teams outside of their own teams.

And I responded to that but when I make a factual point regarding manchester, henry is unable to face the facts.
 
I love debating football supersta and i dont mind going slightly off topic but i dont like it when a thread goes totally off topic with unesesarry arguments...lets leave the united team of 95-96 for a thread on youth developement.
 
I just heard that Fergie wants to spend 50 million in the next few weeks. :(

Hope Berbatov is in there somewhere...

They wouldnt make it in that thread :p

Papers are still on about Ronaldo and Real madrid here in the uk.Fergie wants Alves as his main signing but its almost 100% his going to barcelona.

Has Ronaldo said anything concrete either way do you know? I can't see him going myself...
