Summer Transfers

he never threatened to bench him as far as i know

i said he could just bench him and not sell him if the price is not right

man united know they are sitting on the best player on the planet and believe me they wont sell him cheap

100m or no deal they will say

madrid will say, we said we could afford 100m

united will say ok fine deal is done

Keep posting cos it shows you only started watching football now. If you watched over the years, you would know that all clubs say they will buy a player for X amount of money. If their is interest then Negotiations start.

I dont even think it was a FORMAL offer to Man United. If players want to go their are various ways to get out of contracts. Of course you wouldnt know this cos you only started watching recently.

So my guess is if Real hear Ronaldo wants to leave, they will approach United to try and get him out of there. Ronaldo will probably put pressure on United as well. If they bench him, who knows, maybe he will buy out his own contract :D

what club has ever said they will pay 100m for a player?

hahaha business 101 will tell you that if someone is willing to pay x amount for something, u dont sell it for less because they are willing to pay x amount for that item

united would have to be rather stupid to accept anything less than madrid said they are willing to pay

Real Madrid are ready to offer Manchester United a deal worth £150million to land star man Cristiano Ronaldo in the next few days.

Sources in the Spanish capital leaked details of the bid yesterday and an official move is expected soon.

The Daily Express claims Real are ready to offer United a world record fee of £39.8m and pay Ronaldo a tax-free salary of £7.6m a year.

United recently stated they would reject a £100m bid for Ronaldo, but on top of the near £40m-fee, Madrid are reportedly willing to send Brazilian Robinho, Spain international Sergio Ramos and Mali midfielder Mahamadou Diarra to Old Trafford in part exchange.

This takes the deal to around £100m with the Spanish champions also looking to pay up the remainder of Ronaldo's United contract - worth around an additional £50m

I think you need to learn what a formal offer is, and a reported offer ;)

ag, newbie fans. Gotta love their posts :)

u know what u need to learn?

where there is smoke there is fire :)

im ending this now because your obviously blind to the 5 year contract ronaldo has and a transfer fee needed which wont be less than 92m for both contract and player

obvisouly u did not study much :)

when u decide to study i think business economics should be your first choice :)

It doesnt matter if he gets sold for 1 billion pound, manchester are f*cked without him and fergie knows it.

Goodluck in the champs league next year, its gonna be a repeat of 2005 with manchester ending bottom of their group.

maybe supa united cant always do well

i mean look at barcelona and arsenal no trophies for awhile

teams go through decline's, its bound to happen at some point at any club

look at ac milan the most successful club ever wont even be in the champs league

barcelona will have to face a play off to get in, more than likely they will but there is a chance they wont even be in champs league next season

would rather finish bottom than not compete at all :)

It will be another 9 years+ before manchester win anything in Europe if Ronaldo leaves.

Barca at least gets rid of half their team and the manager, if they dont win.

Porto lose Champions League place

Portuguese champions Porto have been excluded from next season's Champions League over alleged bribery of referees in the 2003/04 season.

The allegations relate to Porto's 2-0 win against Estrela da Amadora and their 0-0 draw with Beira Mar.

Porto won their domestic title and the Champions League in 2003/04 under their former coach Jose Mourinho, who has not been mentioned in any allegations.

The club has already confirmed it will appeal against Uefa's decision.

Porto won their domestic title in 2004 by eight points from runners-up Benfica.

Last month, they were found guilty by the Portuguese league of fixing the two league matches in question.

As a result Porto were docked six points, but they decided not to appeal against that decision on the grounds the club had a substantial lead in the league.

The punishment did not affect final standings as Porto still won last season's title for the third time in a row, 14 points ahead of Sporting Lisbon.

However, the club's president Jorge Pinto da Costa has appealed against a two-year suspension and he will go to trial in a civil lawsuit by Porto prosecutors.

Boavista were relegated to the second division for their part in the match-fixing.

The affair, which came to light in April 2004, also resulted in five referees being suspended for periods between two-and-a-half and six years.

The referees were found guilty of accepting the offer of prostitutes after matches, while in once case an official received 2,500 Euros prior to a match.

First with the news once again!

Well done Supa!

Thats exactly it. Barca dont win the CL, they sell 80% of their team!

United lose, they keep with the team and hope nxt season will be better :D

Same with Chelsea.

And here is another article:
Cristiano Ronaldo has told his family and friends and, most importantly Manchester United, that he wants to go to Real Madrid, Marca have reported in another story that is sure to rattle Sir Alex Ferguson.

Every other media source is waiting impatiently for the superstar to reveal what he wants to do, the Madrid-biased Spanish daily has an exclusive 'scoop'.

Marca have already antagonised United by appearing to be Real Madrid's vehicle for sending public messages to Ronaldo and the fans about their intentions to sign him and how much he would earn.

Those stories, allied with comments from president Ramón Calderón and sporting director Predrag Mijatovic have seen the Premier League claim that they could report lso Merengues to FIFA.

A day after Calderón continued to try and play down his chances of signing the player, Marca has quoted Ronaldo as stating "I am going to Real Madrid".

The words i the body of the story are different from the headline, which has him claiming: "I want to go to Real Madrid."

While Calderón plays it cool in order to avoid United's wrath, Ronaldo has been asked by Portuguese officials to wait before making an announcement until after the national team's first game of Euro 2008.

With the frenzy surrounding the training camp taking the spotlight completely off the team's preparations no statement on the player's next move will be made until then.

The cat and mouse game Marca and Madrid are continuing, especially with such a bold quote, will be added to United's list of reasons to resist selling him to the Spanish giants.

huh uh i dont think we will sign him. He wants to goto Madrid.

I wonder if the reason why he is going to say before the or after the first game is cos he might have a bad tournament?

bad tournament or not kule, he will still be the most wanted footballer on the planet

lots of superstars who have come off good season's have played poorly in comps

does not mean for one second they will be rated less

he said he will wait because if he needs to concentrate on the tourney not on his future

Was just a thoery. He is wanted, but in football - you have a bad season or a bad tournament your value drops.

Reason Barca are going after him is because Sandro Rosell is using the signing of ronaldo as a reason why people should vote him as the next president.

Cant wait for Saturday. Euro 2008 going to be great.
