Robinho claims that Manchester United and Chelsea have enquired as to his availability.

The Brazilian international has spent three years with Spanish giants Real Madrid, but has failed to hold down a regular first-team spot at Santiago Bernabeu.

He was widely touted as the 'new Pele' after bursting onto the scene as a teenager with Santos, but has struggled to live up to that billing since moving to Europe.

However, at just 24-years-old, time is still on his side and a move away from Los Blancos could help to reinvigorate his career.

The playmaker is currently away on international duty preparing for 2010 World Cup qualifiers, but has taken time out to admit that he has received approaches from two of the Premier League's top clubs.

"I have never hidden away my wish to remain at Real Madrid, but if the interest is serious I will have no problem leaving Real Madrid as the interest from Manchester United and Chelsea makes me very proud," Robinho told the Brazilian press.

Carlos Tevez has given Sir Alex Ferguson another summer headache by admitting his desire to play in Spain one day.

With the on-going saga over Cristiano Ronaldo's Manchester United future dominating the sports news on a daily basis, Tevez's comments are unlikely to be welcomed by Ferguson.

Real Madrid's interest in Ronaldo is well documented and now Tevez has admitted that a spell in La Liga later in his career would be of interest.

But the Argentina striker has no plans to make an immediate switch after helping the Red Devils secure a Premier League and UEFA Champions League double in his first season at Old Trafford.

Happy

Tevez told The Sun: "Maybe one day I'll play in the Spanish league but there's a long way to go.

"At the moment I am happy here. I know many South Americans prefer to play in Italy or Spain when they move to Europe.

Nice!

I heard about them this evening when i logged onto some footy sites.

I bet everybody is gonna watch Sere A this season :D

Wow this thread looks amazing now!
Get this, acording to the daily mail Manchester City are close to signing Ronaldinho on a 200 000 pound a week deal.
That would be the biggest deal in the premier league.
Also Blackburns Mark Hughes is expected to be unveiled as the new Man City manager today.

Drogba can go, had enough of his antics lately. But if they let Lamps and Essien go, then the board are retarded.

And they will be even more stupid if they let Steve Clarke go...

i highly doubt ronaldino will go to man city for 200k a week

dont see how man city can sustain this, but who knows

i for one would love to see him in the league, i hope it goes through

Ya, thread is looking up. Thx for contributing! Need to get it back up like Supasta's one :)

Ronaldinho to Man City. Thats a tough ask. Wonder if he will sacrifice not playing CL. Most top players want to play CL at their new clubs.

City in stunning £200,00 a week deal for Ronaldinho

Ronaldinho could be on his way to Eastlands

« Previous « PreviousNext » Next »View GalleryADVERTISEMENTManchester City are set to make a staggering £200,000 per week offer to Barcelona's superstar Ronaldinho, according to reports.
The Daily Mail claims that senior board members from Eastlands will fly to Brazil this week for talks with the star in the hope of bringing him to Manchester.

And with Mark Hughes expected to be confirmed as their new boss in the next few days, it could prove an incredible week for City owner Thaksin Sinawatra.

Hughes will have plenty to build on should he decide to take over from Sven-Goran Eriksson at City.

Hughes could be installed as early as this week after being given permission to speak with the Eastlands outfit by Blackburn yesterday, hours after Eriksson's departure.

With the ambition and wealth of City owner Thaksin Shinawatra not in question, all that seems to be needed is a belief from Hughes than he can work with the former Prime Minister of Thailand for a deal to be done.

And, while it may seem the Welshman would be inheriting a messy situation, Dave Wallace, editor of the respected King of the Kippax fanzine, feels City are actually in a far healthier state than it initially appears.

"If you look at the fact we have a European campaign to build on, plus the young players and ones like Elano, Martin Petrov and Vedran Corluka, we have a lot to look forward to,'' said Wallace.

"We should be in a position to kick on from here and hopefully Mark Hughes, if that is to be who we get, will do that.''

Wallace feels Hughes' first task should be to ease the fears of star names Richard Dunne, Micah Richards, Joe Hart and Michael Johnson, whose futures have been the subject of intense debate amid the fall-out from Eriksson's departure, which was confirmed a couple of hours before permission was given for City to speak with the Manchester United legend.

"People seem to have been unsettled by what has happened to Sven,'' he said.

"We have to hope the new manager comes in and sorts these lads out and ensures they stay.''

At least he would have more time to prepare for next season than Eriksson had last year after only being appointed on July 6.

However, City's season will start much earlier as well given they will learn their UEFA Cup first qualifying round opponents on June 27 ahead of a first game on July 18.

Having guided Blackburn through the Intertoto Cup, Hughes already knows the demands required from such an early start to what Wallace hopes will be a lasting relationship.

"Dr Thaksin needs to understand that things do not happen overnight in football,'' he said.

"The situation at Manchester United is a perfect example of that. They stuck with Alex Ferguson, gave him money and see what benefits they are getting.

"It is a worry that Dr Thaksin has not seen sufficient progress because when you look at it, we have had a consistent season and got into Europe.

"Instead, we are back to the unstable situation we always seem to have.

"If it is going to be Mark Hughes we need to give him a decent length of time.''

Lampard Mourinho's Top Target As Essien Move Becomes Unreal
Newly appointed Internazionale boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly made Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard his top priority in the transfer market…
»Comments (6) Print This Story Send To A Friend Contact Us galleria zoom The Special One is almost certain to raid his old hunting ground at Stamford Bridge this summer as he seeks to stamp his mark on the Inter squad, and club president Massimo Moratti is expected to back his new manager to the hilt.

The charismatic Portuguese is expected to have around ₤100 million to work with between now and the end of August, but Moratti has claimed he does not expect wholesale changes.

“I have read lots of names but I have yet to speak with him [Mourinho] about the transfer market,” he said. “I would like to change very little of this squad which has won so much.”

Mega Buys

Such a statement suggests the Nerazzurri are in the market for a few choice mega-buys, a modus operandi Mourinho is more than familiar with following his tenure under Chelsea boss Roman Abramovich.

One of those Blues buys was Ghanaian midfielder Michael Essien, for whom the former Porto boss was recently reported to be lining up a ₤24 million bid.

The former Lyon star has established himself among the best box-to-box players in the world in recent seasons, and hence Chelsea will be loath to let one of their most consistent and dangerous performers leave.

Shift

With that move looking increasingly unfeasible, Mourinho has shifted his attention slightly further up the pitch to Lampard, with whom he has been constantly linked since departing west London in September.

The England international is yet to agree a new contract with the Blues, who have so far failed to meet his wage demands of over ₤130,000-per-week.

The 29-year-old has one year remaining on his current deal at Stamford Bridge, and with increased competition next season from resurgent German star Michael Ballack and upcoming Nigerian John Obi Mikel, a move to San Siro could prove too tempting for Lampard to refuse.

The former West Ham man could be just one among several Mourinho loyalists set to make the switch, with striker Didier Drogba and defender Ricardo Carvalho also reported to be seeking a Chelsea exit.

Hmmm...things are starting to get interesting!
Dont know whether lumpard will go to italy though.
I think the main reason that the Ronaldinho deal may go through is because non of the other big clubs are prepared to pay his insane salary.
also Man city will be playing in the Uefa cup next season. They have a decent squad, Hart,Dunne,Richards,Petrov,Ireland and Elano are all class IMO.

Ya, if you remember Lampard had a few disputes at the club @ the beginning of last season. I remember they didnt want to give him his pay increase and he wanted to move to another club.

I remember Barca and Real madrid were one of the options.

So my guess is, if Inter can pay him what he wants, he will pack his bags and be off.

Alonso-Juve: Crunch Talks Today
Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso is reportedly on the verge of agreeing terms with Juventus, with contract talks scheduled today…
»Comments (26) Print This Story Send To A Friend Contact Us galleria zoom Alonso’s future has been in serious doubt for months following an injury-riddled campaign at Anfield, and the club’s interest in Aston Villa midfielder Gareth Barry has only fuelled the flames regarding his possible exit.

The Basque playmaker has stated his desire to remain on Merseyside with the rest of Rafael Benitez’s Spanish contingent, as well as close friend and Everton midfielder Mikel Arteta.

The 26-year-old would no doubt consider a return to his homeland, and Real Madrid and Barcelona have expressed interest in the former Real Sociedad man.

But with no solid offer forthcoming from Spain, Juve are the clear favourites to secure Alonso’s signature, his agent Inaki Ibanez declaring recently that the player is tempted by the Old Lady’s advances.

According to the Daily Mail, the Bianconeri are prepared to shell out ₤13.5 million for the Spanish international, who they will offer a five-year deal.

But the Reds are demanding in excess of ₤16 million for their midfield creator, whose potential absence could prove costly early next season while Javier Mascherano and Lucas Leiva are at the Beijing Olympics.
