Scolari signs Deco for Chelsea on his first day in the office

Luiz Felipe Scolari begins life as Chelsea's manager this morning having secured his first signing. The Champions League finalists yesterday completed the purchase of the Barcelona midfielder Deco on a two-year contract.

The 30-year-old playmaker has followed his Portugal manager to west London in an £8m deal which may yet have an effect on Frank Lampard's future at Stamford Bridge. The England midfielder is currently on holiday in Italy but with only a year to run on his contract he has been courted byChelsea's former manager, Jose Mourinho, who is now at Internazionale. Deco's arrival appears to threaten Lampard's place in the team.

Same; I'd like to keep Crouch. But at least Keane is better than : Downing, Barry etc.
Problem is, who would give anything for Veronin? It's like Itjaandje (sp), how is Pool going to get anything for him??

Much as I like Rafa, I sometimes wonder about him. But hey, maybe I'm wrong about Veronin, maybe he's been lulling everyone into a false sense of security before he unleashes himself on the league this season...

Could be...he had some decent games for us last season and scored some great goals. He scored more than Kuyt in the league. That game against besiktas he played a blinder but then he got injured and was out for a couple of months. After that he struggled to get into the team and his confidence dropped a bit. maybe next season he will be better.
