Andrei Arshavin is finally set to join Arsenal after dramatic talks in the final hour before the transfer deadline - and he will wear the No 13 shirt for Arsene Wenger's men.

His club, Zenit St Petersburg, were haggling to the bitter end, but the Russians agreed an undisclosed fee with Arsenal and the player also accepted terms on a four-and-a-half-year deal.

It is understood that there were still disagreements over who, if anyone, would pay a £2.35m loyalty bonus, which Arshavin owed Zenit for breaking his contract with the UEFA Cup holders. But the Euro 2008 star in the end appears to have relented and returned the cash.

I think they'll need Fabregas and Eduado back as well to get 4th back
 
The Associated Press are saying Zenit spokesman Alexei Petrov believes the deal for Andrei Arshavin has broken down.
 
Arsenal will be making a statement at 7pm UK time, lets see what happens....
