His contract with the sabc is he is only allowed to commentate when he doesn't have lions commitments.

Titans probably have the most talented squad in local cricket. They will be fine imho.

Some really good individual performances in this weekend's outings.

In the Lions vs. Titans match:

  • Dwaine Pretorius 118 (171)
  • Bjorn Fortuin 116 (158) & the lad is just 21 yo with a first class HS of 194
  • Partnership for the 7th wicket was 144
  • Team total for the Lions' first innings 609 (4.6 runs per over)

In the Dolphins vs. Cobras match:

  • Wayne Parnell 7/51 in 15 overs
  • Vilas is 77* at the moment
  • Philander doing some time at the crease with a wicket and a few runs with Vilas for the 7th wicket

Seems like a low scoring affair on a pitch that's either quite green or poor batting in the Knights vs. Warriors match:

  • Just over half way through day 2 and there has already be 24 wickets in the game.
