Dream debut for Wiaan Mulder so far. St Stithians seems to have a great system churning out young talent

Mhhh... Cobras performance is it related to the ongoing Adams saga or just bad day at the office?

I was on my way to the first day of the Warriors v Dolphins… sorry the Hollywood bets Dolphins :wtf: when my car broke down. :o

Seems like the Wanderers is a bit of a green mamba.

Cobras 1st Innings: 102
Lions 1st Innings: 154
Cobras 2nd Innings: 165/8

Mind you, Bavuma scoring 70 and Smith (Cobras) scoring 90 show that runs can be made. But the rest of the batsmen?

LIONS v Cape Cobras at Johannesburg
Cape Cobras 102 & 211 LIONS 154 & 117/0 (18 ov, target 160)
Stephen Cook 63*(56)
Rassie van der Dussen 43*
Viljoen, Cook put Lions in sight of victory http://www.sport24.co.za/Cricket/SunfoilSeries/viljoen-cook-put-lions-in-sight-of-victory-20161006
Cape Town - Hardus Viljoen took six wickets and Stephen Cook struck an unbeaten half-century to carry the Highveld Lions to the brink of victory after two days of their Sunfoil Series opener against the Cape Cobras in Johannesburg on Thursday.

Fast bowler Viljoen, whose early season form last year forced him into the Proteas set-up, took 6/75 as the visitors were bowled out for 211 at the Bidvest Wanderers Stadium on the second day.

Despite that being the highest score of the match, the Cobras’ paltry first-innings 102 meant that the Lions needed 160 for victory and they were racing there thanks to Cook’s brisk 63 not out (56 balls, 12 fours).

Titans v Knights at Centurion
Titans 287 & 57 Knights 174 & 41/1 (12.2 ov, target 171)

Cape Town - Marchant de Lange returned to haunt his former team with a career-best 7/23 helping the VKB Knights bowl the Multiply Titans out for an all-time low of 52 on day two of their Sunfoil Series clash at SuperSport Park in Centurion on Thursday.
Marchant de Lange 7/23 vs Titans :crylaugh:

Warriors v Dolphins at East London

Dolphins 478 Warriors 104/1 (44 ov)

Cape Town - Half centuries from Khaya Zondo and Keshav Maharaj meant the Dolphins enjoyed another good outing on day two of their Sunfoil Series opener against the Warriors at Buffalo Park in East London on Thursday.

But it was not a bad day for the hosts either as they reached the halfway stage of the game on 104/1 in reply to the visitors’ 478 all out, with Colin Ackermann unbeaten on 56 (122 balls, 5 fours).

The Dolphins, under new coach Grant Morgan, started out the day on 281/5 and then lost captain Morne van Wyk (19) and Sibonelo Makhanya (11) as they fell to 360/7.

But Zondo and Maharaj provided a strong eighth-wicket stand of 108 to leave their side excellently place – the former making a measured 81 (150 balls, 13 fours) and the latter an aggressive 72 (71 balls, 7 fours, 4 sixes).

Basheer Walters finished as the pick of the bowlers with 4/72, while Andrew Birch claimed 3/83.

In reply, the Warriors lost Michael Price (2) in the third over, but an unbroken 100-run stand between Ackerman and Eddie Moore (46) meant they were fighting back well by the close

LIONS won by 10 wickets

Cape Cobras 102 & 211
Lions 154 & 160/0 (26.5 ov)
Stephen Cook 97*
Rassie van der Dussen 50*

Titans 287 & 57
Knights 174 & 150/6 (36.2 ov)
Knights require another 21 runs with 4 wickets remaining

Dolphins 478 Warriors 160/4 (70 ov)

Knights won by 4 wickets

Titans 287 & 57
Knights 174 & 172/6 (39.4 ov)

With the exception of Elgar, our Test top order seems to be in good form just before the trip to Australia

Seems like Jamison took a hat-trick for the Lions against the Dolphins. Good form!

First time since injury that we gonna see how Morne Morkel goes. Hope he comes through the game just fine
