Suninghill ?

Ok I live in Suninghill and the signal locator says that I have no signal.


I have the modem though cause I recently moved to Suninghill from an area that has coverage.

I get on 'tower 82' :

22%
ISCP : -96dBm
RSCP : -89dBm

I do not have an antenna. I cannot connect. I know i should not connect because the zone locator says so.

But I am desparate. It appears i cannot connect because the modem is not powerfull enough to reach the tower.

Does the fastcomm modem boost the signal to the tower?
Should I be able to connect. ?

Which antenna should I get ?

First we need some more information.

1. What is the frequency of the Node you can see.
2. Exactly how far are you from the Tower.

If you are further than 5.7 ks, you wont connect regardless of what antenna you use.

I am not sure how far I am from a tower but looking the the towers marked '82' It could either be Randburg Metro Centre about +/- 20 km or Sentech (Main). I am assuming here that Sentech (Main) reffers to the Brixton tower ? I should be about 30km from that one.

I am definately outside 5.7km though []

Sentech Main is Radiokop (Honeydew) - Brixton is 126.
