Sunsynk 5Kw not picking up all PV

Hi

I have installed a Sunsynk 5Kw with a 5Kwh Greenrich batter - I bought 2 x JA 460 panels to test the PV side. My problem is that the inverter does not seem to pick up the PV correctly.

The 2 panels are connected in series.

Please help, does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

2 panels is not enough to start up the MPPT. MPPT requires min 125Volts to start up

Thank you. I had a suspicion but wasnt sure. I will go get another 460w and add it is series.

you may need to get 2 just to be sure that the voltage is fine - 1 will be cutting it extremely fine

Yep, 4x 460W panels will ensure that the MPPT starts before 11H30.

You need approx. 150VDC to kick start inverter.

VOC per panel approx. 49VDC.
As @RonSwanson said 4 panels.
Then you will sit close to 180VDC. That is what the inverter requires.
