Yes that power out is typically the update happening, as noted above why the upgrade? many people are not touching the new update @AchmatK rolled his back and I am waiting too. My last update was nov 2021Anyone done a Sunsynk firmware upgrade? I submitted a request yesterday and today my power went out at around 7pm. I was confused... Circuit breakers all still up and Sunsynk was powered... Then 2-5 minutes later it seemed to restart and everything came back online. Was that the upgrade happening?
My current version is COMM: e41b with MCU: 3373
Whats the issue with the new update?Yes that power out is typically the update happening, as noted above why the upgrade? many people are not touching the new update @AchmatK rolled his back and I am waiting too. My last update was nov 2021
@AchmatK will need to advise, unless this update has fixed the issuesWhats the issue with the new update?
New firmware doesn't like unbalanced strings. It kept limiting my one MPPT to the same current of the other mppt.@AchmatK will need to advise, unless this update has fixed the issues
Not necessarily.So Sunsynk=bad?
Not exactly.So Sunsynk=bad?
No it broke right after it restarted from the update.Did you break it?
Apparently the pc board blew. They replaced the board under warranty. Can't recall the firmware version. You request a firmware update on the sunsynk website. What broke on yours? Do you recall the versions you upgraded to? How did you perform the update?
Hi, just had the same issue. Are you running a single or 3 phase inverter? What was the turnaround time for the repair?Apparently the pc board blew. They replaced the board under warranty. Can't recall the firmware version. You request a firmware update on the sunsynk website.
I hope you're sitting down.Hi, just had the same issue. Are you running a single or 3 phase inverter? What was the turnaround time for the repair?
O no, how long?I hope you're sitting down.
Can't remember specifics, but I remember it being painful.O no, how long?
Eish, thank you. Can't remember specifics, but I remember it being painful.
Single phase 8kw SunsynkHi, just had the same issue. Are you running a single or 3 phase inverter? What was the turnaround time for the repair?
Have a 3ph 12kw, installed it end last year. Was receiving alot of errors which was sorted out with an update. Thought I would get another update this week, can only make things better?! After the update the interface looked like that of a single phase system and inverter stopped working with many incorrect values. Was told the board is damaged, and had to courier inverter to sunsynk (we live in a small town in the Free State). Probably the worst time to be without our inverter.Single phase 8kw Sunsynk
Took about a month since I booked it in till collection.
What problem are you experiencing?
Lesson I learnt is that if its working don't do any software updates.Have a 3ph 12kw, installed it end last year. Was receiving alot of errors which was sorted out with an update. A software update resulted in my solar generation being limited and after a few requests I managed to get it rolled back to the previous version.
Unless there are serious issues, do not request a firmware upgrade, ever.
