not bad... Telkom should start worrying about their ADSL (+analogue line) income :)
but i guess they still have a finger in the pie with FTTH connection somewhere along the route, so they still get something, no?

No, because
1. the user might just incriminate himself and
2. his line is only 25 Mb/s.

In the article there is a screenshot showing it peaked around 2997KB/s. That is almost 3MB/s, convert bytes to bits by multiplying by 8.

Thus 24Mb/s,fairly close to 25Mb/s
 
Telkom has installed fibre down the road. Would theirs be closed and I cannot use another service provider?
 
Telkom's FTTH offering ties into IP Connect, all the existing xDSL ISPs can therefore be used.
