I don’t think so, it may be a travelling setup as they were in a shopping mall earlier the day with some rugby exhibition. I am may be wrong though, those premium subs hey.
Ahhh sweet. Thanks.

Kings lose lock duo for Sunwolves trip

Cape Town - The Southern Kings will travel to Singapore without lock Irne Herbst, after the 23-year-old sustained concussion during the weekend’s match against the Jaguares at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

Herbst is therefore unavailable for selection for the Kings’ travelling squad that will take on the Sunwolves in Singapore this weekend.

Meanwhile, the Kings were dealt another blow last week when another lock, Cameron Lindsay, sustained a Medial Collateral Ligament (MCL) tear at training, ruling the 25-year-old out of action for 12 weeks.

In better news for the side, prop Dayan van der Westhuizen and wing Wandile Mjekevu returned to full training on Monday after both players recovered from foot injuries.

It has been years since I was happy with my Province, now only to see whether they can continue with the intensity.
I was happy with the 1st half but, unless they can produce that for 80min , they'll stay a local contender only. Don't know what happened during half time.. How do you totally dominate for 40 min (24-0) and then get your arse handed to you in next 40 (13-24) Glad Kolisi is again playing like he should ...

The Bulls gathered their composure and equalled the intensity. The Stormers will have no easy time when they travel to Pretoria. The Stormers did hit a hurdle with du Preez pushing his lines too much where du Plessis had a superb game and control over the line.

Enterprising rugby is healthy, but it shouldn’t outweigh the kicking game which was downright poor on both sides. The Kiwis know how to bring kicking into this game.

Am really impressed with EW Viljoen. Think he has a bright future. I didn't see Dan Kriel or Dan du Plessis play but hopefully they can step in as needed. Just really feel for DDA though. He copped so much (mostly deserved) flak last year for his performances after his initial ankle injury and he was just starting to regain that old magic. Hope his comeback in a few weeks is a lot more successful.

He played well against the Bulls. Read the lines like art and creatively stepped into them, and he had good line control and pace. It seems that Feeney has been working the men.

Big names hit by injuries after opening round

It's a mixed package of injuries for New Zealand sides after the opening round of Super Rugby.

All Blacks fullback Ben Smith is the biggest name to be hit by injury, and will have scans later this week to assess whether concussion will rule him out for more than a week.

Hurricanes wing Cory Jane has already had an MRI on a bulging disc in his neck while teammate Blade Thomson will undergo assessment on his shoulder knock.

Crusaders first five Richie Mo'unga has been ruled out for six to eight weeks with a fractured hand, while fellow Crusader Seta Tamanivalu will have a tight hamstring assessed today.

The Blues and Chiefs are without injury concerns.

Highlander will be unhappy with losing their captain, Ben Smith, hoping that it is no more than 2-4 weeks. I wonder what happened to Cory Jane, he was selected to play and then the next day he had to sit out in their captain’s run… Crusaders will be scraping depth at no. 10, that is whether they can secure continuity between Bateman and McKenzie.

Cool, another year of savings for me and others then. Stick with idiots after that dismal performance and hopefully get what's coming to you. Anyone supporting this lot by buying tickets and merch, you're only perpetuating the bs.

KINGS BRING IN BHOLI FOR SINGAPORE CLASH

The team departs from Port Elizabeth, via Johannesburg, on Tuesday.

Davids has made minimal changes to the matchday 23 squad that took on the Jaguares at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in the first match of the season last weekend.

Lock Irne Herbst, who sustained a concussion against the Jaguares, misses out on the Asian trip while fullback Chrysander Botha has not been included in the travelling squad, with Pieter-Steyn de Wet, who replaces Botha, getting an opportunity to be part of the Super Rugby side for the first time. Herbst's spot in the squad will be taken by Thembelani Bholi.

The coach has also added prop Justin Forwood and hooker Kurt Haupt to the travelling squad to make a full playing complement of 25.

...

The Southern Kings squad will have a number of first-time tour travellers and Davids is hoping to use the opportunity for the squad to familiarise itself with travel ahead of their three-week tour to Australia in April.

"There are a couple of guys who will be going on their first tour. It's a short tour, but it's a good experience for them which can be preparation for Australia where we will spend three weeks. We are really looking forward to giving these guys an opportunity and building more experience in the squad," the coach said.

Southern Kings squad:

Forwards: Schalk Ferreira (captain), Martin Bezuidenhout, Thembelani Bholi, Chris Cloete, Justin Forwood, Ross Geldenhuys, Kurt Haupt, Chris Heiberg, Ruaan Lerm, Andisa Ntsila, Tyler Paul, Schalk van der Merwe, Michael Willemse, Stefan Willemse, Mzwanele Zito.

Backs: Masixole Banda, Lionel Cronje, Pieter-Steyn de Wet, Malcolm Jaer, Berton Klaasen, Makazole Mapimpi, Waylon Murray, Louis Schreuder, Rudi van Rooyen, Luzuko Vulindlu.

Sharks lock cops two-week ban

Cape Town - Sharks lock Etienne Oosthuizen has been banned for two weeks after being found guilty of foul play during his side’s Super Rugby loss to the Reds in Brisbane last Friday.

The SANZAAR foul play review committee accepted a guilty plea from Oosthuizen for contravening Law 10.4(a) - striking another player with a hand, arm or fist, after he was cited following the game at Suncorp Stadium.

Oosthuizen has been suspended from all forms of the game for two weeks, up to and including March 10.

The incident occurred in the ninth minute of the match which the Reds won 28-26.

The Sunwolves has announced a 25-player squad to travel to Singapore, some players excluded which played the Hurricanes. They have also extended their squad to 54 players, ahem…. They recruited JJ Taulagi which played at the Reds some time ago. This is still not their strongest selected squad.

The two big improvements to their squad are Fumiaki Tanaka and Hayden Cripps, and they have also included JJ Taulagi which is likely to replace Riaan at the back. I think these three will be the main changes to the team which has played the Hurricanes. They have included better depth in the backline.

I still say that Yuki Yatomi is their best scrummie, Tanaka is slowly losing touch. Yatomi is still out.
