The only introspection necessary here is just why most of us called the margin so hopelessly wrong :(

This isn't a sharks game...and you misspelled "Mephisto_Helix" :p

In all seriousness though, at the start of the game the ref was definitely the Highlanders' 16th player -which is mind boggling, because they're perfectly capable of killing the Stormers without any help. :erm:

It was literally only that 1 penalty that was bogus, the rest of his calls were spot on.

Even us most ardent supporters didn't think they'd ship nearly 60 points twice in the space of 6 days. And this supposedly the game they targeted as a win. 70+ from the 'Canes next week :crying:

I can believe that. I didn't see the match, but Glen Jackson is one of the best refs at the moment (probably just behind Nigel Owens). Generally don't have a problem with his calls.

Nope, there were a few high tackles he missed as well.

Not that it matters, the Stormers were comprehensively outplayed today.

See? Therein lies the dilemma. I wouldn't have dreamt the Stormers would have coughed up so badly today. 3 games on the trot with the match today making it a perfect storm. TBH, it seemed like they gave up a bit toward the end (which is understandable). To pick themselves up for the 'Canes would require a fair number of counselling sessions.

Nonetheless, I still see them going down to the 'Canes. The difficulty is by how much. It would be brave to say 7 - 10, but given how they have lost in the last 2, would it be foolish to go 40+.

Sincerely hope that they can pick themselves up sufficiently to make a good game of it next weekend, because at the mo the players likely to feature in a Bok squad look like we're going have another 2016 season :(

I see the Stormers did not prove me wrong… that team lacks leadership all-around, on player and coaching level. Seeing how many players are leaving the Stormers they are going to struggle on the rebuild.

To think, the Sunwolves did much better against the Highlanders…

shoulder with force to the jaw/head .... I want to see what sanction it ends up being. That was nasty and malicious.

Close game for Chiefs. Three minutes into extra time the Sunwolves get a yellow and a red card. Chiefs still didn't manage to get bonus try with scrum 5 meters from the line.

The Sunwolves did superbly today, except for Taulagi's moment of idiocy. Carpenter's yellow took some discretion. Nonetheless, their continues criticism for being in Super Rugby by Australians and South Africans are on a all time high. To fight for a bonus point until the final whistle is a joy for the minnows.

Hey, there is a woman as a referee's assistant in the Lions vs Rebels game.
