Who would we be left with? An underperforming Bulls team? Their Super Rugby glory days are behind them.

No, I don't think so. This is their first season with a new coach and already showing improvement... give them time.

I fear the Lions' glory days are over :(

The Lions are still second in the overall rankings and miles ahead in the South African conference? Hopefully they bounce back, especially if Whiteley recovers for the second half of the tournament.

Of course hopefully they do, they are my team! But because of that reason I'm very critical and if any Lions supporter is honest with themselves, they'll also admit that this Lions team is a shadow of the previous 2 years.

Did they? I'm not sure! Kings were terrible though! Only value they brought to the competition were the points they guaranteed to opposing teams in every round. Very disappointing.

The Cheetahs, on the other hand, were good value for money at home but battled to make any impression when playing in Europe. They'll learn and improve. Their quarters against Scarlets was a bit of a damp squib.

Full strength and firing Sharks outfit would dominate Pro14 IMHO.

Personally I have written off this year as a transitional year. They should qualify for play-offs, but will be lucky to reach semis.

I am worried about senior players following in Kriel's footsteps. Luckily we have seen some good youngsters coming through this year.

NEWS: THE SUNWOLVES HAVE LOST ONE OF THEIR BEST PLAYERS FOR THE REST OF THE CURRENT SUPER RUGBY SEASON.

Pieter 'Lappies' Labuschagne has left the Japanese side with immediate effect.

Labuschagne returns to the Kubota Spears due to contractual obligations.

Meanwhile, the Sunwolves have added another five (uhm, four) players to their squad.

Rahboni Warren Vosayako (Ntt Communications Shining Arcs), Masakatsu Nishikawa (Suntory Sungoliath), Fetuani Lautaimi (Toyota Verblits), Kaito Shigeno, (Toyota Verblits) have all joined the squad on Monday.

The Sunwolves face the Reds in Tokyo in Round Round 13 of Super Rugby 2018.

Vosayako, Nishikawa and Lautaimi are all loosies and heavy weights... Vosayako represented the Sunwolves in 2017 and is the closest player to Amanaki in style, probably because they both play on the switch at the Shining Arcs. Shigeno, scrummy, has represented the Sunwolves since 2016, but has been mostly involved with the Japan A side this season.

The Sunwolves will not have it any easier against the Rebels and Brumbies as some players will be leaving the squad to train with the national team in Japan in preparation coming the mid-year tests.

That is a big loss for the Lions and the Boks.

Malcolm has probably the best performing player for the Lions this year. His ball carrying and turnovers will be sorely missed. Robbie Coetzee just not in the same league.

Well that's the problem. He's going to miss the June Internationals. Hopefully he's ready for the RC though...
 
Strauss has been having a good season so I am sure they will use him. Is Bismarck still in the mix?
