well done Lions... even though 0 points from this, I expected a lot worse tbh. I think they can feel ok about this preformance, much better than the last couple of weeks.

The Sunwolves played well, but the game would have been tighter with a more disciplined Reds side. This is also another new Sunwolves combo, positionally, and it seemed to work. I will do cartwheels when they beat the Stormers next week… which I doubt seeing their available stable.

They will also play second string against the Rebels and the Brumbies, Tony Brown will head the team against the Rebels and then link up with Jamie Joseph with the national team and Scott Hansen will head the team against the Brumbies.

Hosea Saumaki also now received a target on his back, the opposition will now do their best to immobilise the man. Near every set-piece worked or turned around Saumaki, the Sunwolves will need to be more inventive against the Stormers.

Today, you could see Joseph using the Highlanders...
 
Another inept performance. The supposed powerhouse of super rugby getting schooled in the scrums.
 
Jesus, it's hella-frustrating when the ref doesn't blow the chiefs offside, but pings the stormers every time.

Disappointing result!! Was expecting a lot more from the Stormers today. They didn't play with any intensity or accuracy, constantly made fundamental errors in the line outs and scrums and their tactical kicking was misguided and ineffective. Their phase play lacked penetration and they had to grind for every meter only to either lose possession or hand it back via a misguided pass or kick...
 
If you're going to do check check's, how about not letting 3 or 4 mins go by .... and how the fark do you yellow a trip, seriously
 
Curwan gets his try. Lucky though. There was an obstruction in the build up and beasts pop pass looked a little forward.
