Super Slow Internet Mweb Connection

My Mweb connection has been horribly slow for 3 weeks i kept on thinking it will get better but it hasn't. I don't get speeds any more then 40 kbps on a 1mbs line. YouTube is the most horrible experience I have ever witnesses I seriously cant describe how slow YouTube is. Any suggestions?

Here are bunch of questions that we'll need to know

1. Have you tried another ISP account?
2. Do you have the throttled or unthrottled MWEB uncapped 1Mbps account?
3. What is your speed on www.speedtest.net?
4. Is your ADSL modem connected at 1024kbps down and 512kbps up?
5. Where are you situated (City + Suburb)?
6. Is it that slow like throughout the whole day or only certain times of day/week?

Lately most of the problems are Telkom ADSL infrastructure related and not related to the ISP. There will always be the possibility that it is the ISP's fault, but in my experience with MWEB (I'm on 2Mbps MWEB uncapped) the problem is usually related to Telkom infrastructure not having enough capacity.

My suggestion is that at the very least you try a different ISP account too. Like the free Afrihost/WebAfrica ones...
