A friend informed me of a website www.superbit.co.za and asked my opinion.
So basically you give them your money, they use it to mine bitcoins and you get a 20% return. Sounds great and they even offer a 30 money back guarantee.
I'm no Bitcoin expert but I do know that it's not easy to mine nowadays as the complexity increases the more you mine. I also know that companies have invested millions into building these mines and that the value fluctuates. Which is why the following seems odd.
1. Guaranteed return every 30 days (seemingly 20%, but this may be misleading). Do you know when you will get lucky mining bitcoins?
2. Buy-in starts at R1000. Can you really set up the infrastructure you need at a R1000 per user?
3. They claim to be the No. 1 cryptocurrency mining company in SA, but they have only been around since October 2016
4. Apparently, no pay out has been made ever as the site says "watch this space"
I'm not trying to make Superbit look bad, I'm just asking for an opinion.
