Supersonic almost 100% price increase

So long story short (and leaving some stuff out not relevant to this).

My Folks had problem whit there Fiber and logged a ticket (when you can get hold of them).
My Dad logged a ticket with the line constantly dropping connection.
My Dad told Supersonic while logging this complaint that we are paining way more
for our line speed than advertised by Supersonic.

So the Representative he spoke to amended his monthly bill and also upped the line speed to 50 up and 50 down.
So my Dad ended up paying R489 P/M (rounded off) after the amendment.

So couple of months back he gets a Email that the price is gonna increase to R729 in line with their pricing of a 100 up and a 50 down line.
So now they get charged nearly double for there line as its now the same price as a 100/50 mb line.
While still on a 50/50 line.

So my dad now gets charged almost double for his line.
Geting charged for a 100/50 line.
But only geting 50/50 line speed.

Try and cancel, but read this as well (apparently from an internal Supersonic source) ....


If in one of those gates communities with MTN (as FNO), Supersonic as ISP then you won't be able to cancel (highly unlikely at the very least).

Assuming you can manage to get away from them, compare prices from other ISPs for the speeds you want - Axxess, Afrihost, Cool Ideas etc.

Avoid Mweb, Web Africa, even Vox, as per multiple threads / posts on this forum.

probably someone forgot to regrade the line to the 100/50 speed so just log a ticket to ask them to do so.

don't expect any refunds, but i guess you could try..
 
A client that is with Supersonic in a gated community was automatically upgraded to 500Mb/s from 100Mb/s on the billing side, but is still getting 100Mb/s on the router (that has Gigabit ports).

Supersonic just skipped past the 200Mb/s mark, which should have been the next option.

Tickets are just being closed without resolution or response.
 
Well There Support line/Whatsapp line is non existing.
Why automatically upgrade people to a higher package and pricing, if the package they where on is still being offered by the company?
 
So my pensioner Dad couldnt get hold of them and got gatvol and took a drive to there head office on 14th.

So they only taking walk in clients/complaints everyonels at home trying to phone, whatsupp, telegram or send them smoke signals are just outa luck and wont get any help from supersonic...

A complaint ticket got logge, e-mail of said ticket was deliverd and now we wait.......................
