Supersonic LTE off to a bad start

I definitely do not recommend Supersonic...

1) Waited more than a week to receive sim card with no updates as to whats going on after signup
2) Received sim card with router configuration and WIFI password details, even though I didn't sign up for one
3) No details regarding RICA process. After inquiring, they claim it is done before delivery...
3) No APN settings was sent, had to ask for it and no one phoned to assist with setup or anything of the sort
4) APN settings finally received, yet does not work.
4) Support takes hours, if not days, to reply to a message and phoning places you into an endless queuing system
5) No easy way to monitor usage or change billing details, view invoices etc.
6) Locked to a single tower: Interested to see how difficult it would be to change towers since support is non-existent
Well, it does not seem to be getting better from this first comment a couple of years ago. When I received my Supersonic sim, I could not activate it. I called, I messaged, I emailed and spoke to people over and over again, only to be told that it will be dealt with. After a month and a half, and two debits later, eventually I was connected after they realized that the problem was that my sim was not RICA'd. And guess what? My data lasted one month and was cut again. I have been fighting to be connected from the 1st of July 2023 until today, the 11th. Still not connected after messaging, emailing and calling...still waiting. So, between having now internet, trying to have my account credited, and a VERY important video meeting that I have to attend on Friday, I am not a happy chappy. Once my business meeting is over, I will be cancelling my month-to-month contract. Absolutely terrible service delivery...

Went and got my sim and modem from their offices yesterday. It's amazing the isht we'll put ourselves through to be Helkom free...reading this thread was like deja vu.
Long term test results - Works fine until it doesn't.
You'll learn to reconfigure your modem after their system crashes every 6 months or so as the WhatsApp helpline is totally diabolical and useless as are the folks you reach on the single support number if you're lucky enough for someone to pick up.
Even visiting their offices in 14th Ave (they moved offices and you'll need sleuthing skills to find out where they are as they don't published it or give it out (they're hiding in the new MTN building) will not get your service sorted even when it's their side that's messed up and they admit it in writing.
Otherwise actually using it when it works is fine. You get what you pay for.
I'll be going to Afrihost to replace them.
Still MTN but with better faces running interference at the front
The whole setup feels very primitive to say the least. That's why I think Telkom LTE through Axxess, Afrihost etc. is still better, although a bit more expensive...
