I definitely do not recommend Supersonic...

1) Waited more than a week to receive sim card with no updates as to whats going on after signup
2) Received sim card with router configuration and WIFI password details, even though I didn't sign up for one
3) No details regarding RICA process. After inquiring, they claim it is done before delivery...
3) No APN settings was sent, had to ask for it and no one phoned to assist with setup or anything of the sort
4) APN settings finally received, yet does not work.
4) Support takes hours, if not days, to reply to a message and phoning places you into an endless queuing system
5) No easy way to monitor usage or change billing details, view invoices etc.
6) Locked to a single tower: Interested to see how difficult it would be to change towers since support is non-existent

Eish... does not inspire confidence. Ordered a sim from them on Monday. Still waiting. Support has been a mixed bag for me, depending on who gets your message/call.

EDIT:
This is info they gave me:

They did say I should leave the password as blank.

I got my sim and router yesterday, after being called on Sunday.
The only issue I had was that RICA wasnt done, so I had to wait for that after an hour of troubleshooting trying to figure out what was wrong.
Support was also helping me until about 8pm trying to resolve the issue.
Check with them if the problem is with the RICA process somewhere.

I had this too but mine worked after the sim was RICA'd

Got my sim yesterday. Trying it out this morning. Also having issues with APN.
Anyone come right?
Huawei B618
APN: ws.supersonic.fwa

Nope, still struggling. Same router and APN...

So some feedback:
After spending the day on WhatsApp and on the phone - got through to Themba in the Technical Department.
He looked at my account and saw that the sim card had not been activated on the data network and thus the username and password had not been pushed to the device. He said he would get it sorted.
At around 16:30 yesterday, I phoned in again to find out if there was an update - 5 minutes later it was up and running.
My suggestion:
Phone +27113005800.
Press 1 for Technical.
Ask for help.
The WhatsApp channel is useless.
E.g. Yesterday one of the guys on WhatsApp promised to help me. He only responded again 4 hours later. On Wednesday last week, they only responded 8,5 hours later when I had asked for an update on my order.

Finally up and running after explicitly telling them to check for this. Speeds still slow af...

Everything's working now. Getting 18mbps download

They will definitely need to get their ducks in a row. This was by far the worst support experience I've had, which says a lot...

Anyone know how to check balance on these sim cards?

EDIT: Can check usage in the myMTN app. But that is about it.

The whole setup feels very primitive to say the least. That's why I think Telkom LTE through Axxess, Afrihost etc. is still better, although a bit more expensive...

I signed up for their promo deal 100 GB. Day + 100 GB night for R599. I hope my experience will not be as described in this thread as I too will be using my B618 router.

Went and got my sim and modem from their offices yesterday. It's amazing the isht we'll put ourselves through to be Helkom free...reading this thread was like deja vu.

I found this at the bottom of my invoice, anyone actually tried that to get things going faster?
