Supersonic LTE off to a bad start

So some feedback:
After spending the day on WhatsApp and on the phone - got through to Themba in the Technical Department.
He looked at my account and saw that the sim card had not been activated on the data network and thus the username and password had not been pushed to the device. He said he would get it sorted.
At around 16:30 yesterday, I phoned in again to find out if there was an update - 5 minutes later it was up and running.
My suggestion:
Phone +27113005800.
Press 1 for Technical.
Ask for help.
The WhatsApp channel is useless.
E.g. Yesterday one of the guys on WhatsApp promised to help me. He only responded again 4 hours later. On Wednesday last week, they only responded 8,5 hours later when I had asked for an update on my order.

What was wrong with Axxess? Thinking of taking their Telkom package...
Data disappear at end of the month and again this month, the telkom deal is not worth it 60+60 for how much supersonic have theb100+100@R599 so going for this

Only problem is that its much harder to keep track of data with Supersonic whereas when I had CellC with Afrihost, I could view everything form the portal and get sms warnings when I reach certain setpoints...

Thanks. Just waiting on someone at supersonic to contact me when I can expect my sim. My last month with axxess for now hopefully somewhere in the future they will have a better deal

I definitely do not recommend Supersonic...

1) Waited more than a week to receive sim card with no updates as to whats going on after signup
2) Received sim card with router configuration and WIFI password details, even though I didn't sign up for one
3) No details regarding RICA process. After inquiring, they claim it is done before delivery...
3) No APN settings was sent, had to ask for it and no one phoned to assist with setup or anything of the sort
4) APN settings finally received, yet does not work.
4) Support takes hours, if not days, to reply to a message and phoning places you into an endless queuing system
5) No easy way to monitor usage or change billing details, view invoices etc.
6) Locked to a single tower: Interested to see how difficult it would be to change towers since support is non-existent

Same here. Had to contact them and ask what about the service I registered for online. Then they finally contacted me andI got the impression the agent is flying it - he did not seem to have my details in front of him.
Then after a weekend and three working days the sim arrived today (delivered by a surly and slightly aggressive RAM guy).
I inserted the sim in my Huawei B618 (passed as good model wise by Supersonic). All the corrects lights are working and from by PC I see all the bars a lit up and two sms's was received saying how many gigs I now have.
OK so far.
....except NO internet connection.
Try to phone them. No answer and cannot leave a message as the mailbox is full.
They divert one to Whatsapp chat. Left messages there.
No reaction. No answer for more than an hour now.
As someone else said - right now they are making Telkom look very good.
My other router with a Telkom sim is WORKS. Fast internet connection.

Im guessing its the same RICA issue most of us have

Another case of the marketing department dictating the release of a technical product?

I signed up for their promo deal 100 GB. Day + 100 GB night for R599. I hope my experience will not be as described in this thread as I too will be using my B618 router.
My simcard was delivered today and I have no data connection. My apn is correct. I called in and was transferred to technical support. They said they rica-ed my simcard and should give it 5 to 10 mins. It's been just over 5 hours and it's still not working .

Same here. Plus its slower than Telkom. I have two routers (Huawei 618 and B315) standing next to each other. The 618 has the Supersonic sim in. The 315 has a Telkom LTE pre-paid sim in. The Supersonic runs between 10 and 15 Mbps while the Telkom one runs over 20. Telkom has an app on my phone that tells me exactly how much data I have left. I can also check it on the web and buy more on the web, although this sometimes doesn't work - this is the Telkom app.
I cannot figure out where to see my data usage on Supersonic either. Even tried messages via the router. Nothing works. Also downloaded the MTN Android app and registered the Supersonic number - I used the one written on the sim card in koki pen, though I don't know if that is in fact the sim number. No luck. It just shows zero's.
Cannot find the sim number anywhere else than the number written in koki on the big credit card size sim card. .

The price is very attractive but I think right now Axxess or Webafrica Telkom LTE is best until other ISP's start providing MTN, which I belive should be before the end of the year still.

I'd rather pay R100 or so more than have to waste hours struggling and dealing with incompetent support...

Got my sim yesterday. Trying it out this morning. Also having issues with APN.
Anyone come right?
Huawei B618
APN: ws.supersonic.fwa
Had the same problem. Finally got some response from them. Was told to - like the guy above this conversation posted - to make a new APN (I also use a B618) all empty except the APN is ws.supersonic.fwa .
Then it worked.
The strange thing was the SIM automatically configured the router with a number of MTN settings including a password. That activated the router and connected it with MTN (got two sms's on the router from them telling me I now have this and this amount of data) but no internet connection till the APN was cleared (by making a new one on the router) and the address inserted as the APN.
They look VERY unprepared for this service.
Still cannot see how much data I have left.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who's had bad service. I cancelled my service a few days after receiving the product because I just couldn't cope with their inefficiency. They can't seem to find the cancellation letter despite them replying.

That is definitely something I'm afraid of  Cancelling and still getting billed seems highly likely given what we've experienced thus far

RICA or wrong APN ...

Anyone actually receive an invoice yet, or do they just debit and that's it?

Have been up with them for almost 2 weeks now.Got the sim,put it in,entered the APN and it worked immediately with speeds ranging from 18 to 45 mb/s but mostly 30 constantly.I cant complain at all except for the whattsapp service. That takes too long to get replies.Invoices by mail before it goes off account. So far very happy.Next test will be when I need help with issues.
