SuperSport Android App not streaming?

The same thing is happening on the iOS app. It's very frustrating because with the Supersport app I could at least use airplay to stream to the TV if need be. The DSTV Now app just blocks airplay, period ...
 
I saw an update to the app (this morning) and after installing it, I was under the impression it would start working again. I guess maintenance and software updates are no guarantee of streaming working again. Bunch of n.............
 
On the DSTV forums, they blatantly say it might take *WEEKS* to resolve the issue ...

I hope it's sorted before the world cup starts.

Talking ***. Won't be fixed. They can't secure it yet probably.

I think this is their aim tbh. The apps adjourned must be for mobile viewing. Losing out on revenue if it's on the big telly.

Pm me your setup please. I'm stuck viewing on an iPad mini.
 
Only the DSTV Now app works which you require a PVR subscription for.
The Supersport app auto updates and is then invalid.
You can also not block updates through Google Play anymore since the app doesn't work then.
 
Must say I was pleasantly surprised this morning. Saw my phone did an update on the Supersport app ( iOS ), and I immediatly tried the live sport.

To my delight, it's working again AND I can stream to the AppleTV again. Kudus to them for fixing it.
 
I have a Moto G 2nd Gen phone running Lollipop registered on my DSTV profile. Until about a month ago I had no problems streaming Supersport on the device for about nine months and then it stopped. I hoped that with the latest update the problem would have been solved. When it wasnt I contacted Supersport and they indicated to me that "the device is not supported yet and it is not stable compared to their platforms"

Can you believe such nonsense. I really feel insulted but then again it is Multichoice
 
Well these streams are now encrypted, so need more cpu power than in the past.
Also it broke the plex plugin people shared over twitter.

Hi there. Is there a way to watch the streams in VLC or Kodi when you have a valid premium subscription? Watching through the browser is killing my system resources.

No, only through the DSTV Now Android app.
