Supersport online stream

It is so bad

I am on 4meg Afrihost Business. I can stream twitch 720p and youtube 720p without breaking a sweat and even sometimes while downloading files. But SS online seems to struggle. They keep telling me its my line.

There has to be a conspiracy with Mweb and SS since they are both in bed with each other. Mweb accounts work pretty fine on my line (I was on mweb last year December and streaming was fine)

Sorry to hear that you are battling.

There was a bit of a furore over SS streaming, when a few ISPs had their clients posting similar complaints. We have run tests on our side and we believe that we are routing and peering with Supersport's network optimally. We can always run some more tests though.

I don't have an issue streaming SS. stream is working flawlessly atm + the quality has improved considerably...
 
For the record, also had issues earlier tonight, was fine yesterday. I think it might be on SS side.

EDIT: Still having issues, it goes back 2-3 seconds then suddenly skips forward again. Does this quite often. 30Mbps fibre.

I have issues almost every night Im on AH i can stream in 1080p on youtube no problem but Supersport keeps skipping back a few seconds and buffering i complained last night they seemed to have fixed it but tonight it started acting up again i dont think its AH its Supersport they seriously need to consider a server upgrade maybe AH can sell them a few :P
 
Was playing around with this last night for the wife as she want to watch Wimbledon. Is there a way to stream SS directly to your Samsung TV or can it only be done with the Android and iOS application?

connect your pc or laptop directly to the tv using VGA or HDMI?
 
That might work as I have an old laptop lying around I can use. My wife has a 7 inch Samsung tablet so I thought about duplicating the screens but the resolution on some of the videos I checked out wasn't too great when it got scaled up.
 
Streamed the England cricket match last night. At the start and end it was buffering a lot. Had to use other methods....
 
Note that this is not limited to Afrihost. I tried with AH and TelkomInternet and the streaming still sucks.

Except during the commercial breaks - then it works perfectly! :mad:
