Try the VW in Strydom Park the mirror was R950 and took it to another mac for installation okay this was two years ago and the old shape polo which the vivo practically is.

Just the mirror? If so, then you can do it yourself. It clips off.

PS: the passenger side mirror is more expensive than the driver side mirror.

Ridiculous amounts they ask for the mirror itself ... on my Seat Leon it was R5500 for the whole mirror assembly but "luckily" I'm only missing the cap & mirror (after a slight mishap), cost = R400 for the small plastic cap & R1000 for the even smaller actual mirror glass. FML!

I eventually bought the cap and asked a mirror company to cut me a new mirror but they did such a piss poor job I decided to rather live without a mirror than using their shoddy effort. Still not willing to pay R1000 for the real thing from the stealers.

Thanks all !!! Goldwagen won hands down…….scrapyards @ R850 to 950. Dealer VW R2785 plus 980 to fit, Goldwagen 525 plus 200 to fit.

I've replaced a polo 9N mirror glass, yes it was R1000ish from VW which they discounted down to R700ish.

The problem with just having a glass place make you one is the original has a curve to it so that you can see more out of it and has a built in blind spot area and a heating element on the back. It's also very thin with a polished edge. The glass places are gonna make you a flat mirror glass with the edge scored and snapped and chipped into shape.

I don't want to see what the mirror glass with the built in blind spot light costs.
