Hi all,
On the 22nd August is REST's 100th run.
So, you guys are probably wondering what the hell this thread is about...
Okay, so many of you know, I'm in EMS (Emergency Medical Services) and that means ambulances and stuff.
Anyways... we have a 'group' of really great people (normal wifes, husbands etc) whom come out every Friday night and on other occasions / nights to serve EMS services with refreshments.
Thus their name, REST - Refreshing Emergency Services Together. Catchy eh?
Anyways, the 100th run, that's a huge milestone for them.
Every single EMS person in Cape Town appreciates what they do - by EMS, I don't only mean Paramedics hey! They are there for SAPS, Fire and Rescue, Paramedics... hell, anyone who is in some form of EMS.
It can be raining cats and dogs, they'll meet us with hot coffee, sweets, cakes, soup etc and it's amazing because they are such a bunch of awesome people.
Run by 2 people, Lianne and Mike from Milnerton (Tygerhof or whatever, I call it Milnerton! haha) in Cape Town.
Please guys, I want to make their 100th run really special, I'm trying my best to spread the word and I want you guys to please try show support of this 100th run.

My girlfriend and myself are both Tweeting, Facebooking etc all we can to get support for their 100th run because really... That's 100 nights they've come out and done their thing, they work completely on donations etc so I'm sure you guys can see (via the FB pages and photos) what an awesome thing they do.

rpm, I hope this doesn't upset you in anyway... But time is running out and I didn't realise what a special occasion it was till my darling girlfriend reminded me today - I just want as many people (whom are keen) to show this awesome group THANKS in some form or another.
They are going to be at New Somerset Hospital from 7:30pm onwards and they leave when it's very quiet.
