I have this motherboard http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3972#ov

I want to buy this ram http://www.takealot.com/corsair-value-select-4gb-ddr3-1333mhz-pc-memory/PLID29306043#reviews

Now if you look at the motherboard "supported" ram list, its not there, but doesnt mean to say its not supported.

What do you guys think i should do

UPDATE: If you look here at "reviews" http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128536

You can see people are saying that the motherboard is picky with what ram you put in

I made this mistake on the previous pc build. Had months of replacing parts (cpu, gpus, hdd) and non stop problems. Eventually switched to supported ram and it worked fine since then.

So if at all possible stay with supported ram. If you can't find it locally then you can try other, but it will be a dice-roll to if it works properly or not

Problem is - literally all on the list are 2GB sticks, so like how is one meant to get a 4GB one if its not on the supported list and GIGABYTE havent updated it in 5 years

Supported list is only valid at the time of releasing motherboard.
When motherboard is old, use your brain.
Isn't you third thread with the same problem? :)
