Yes, we know all of this. Its the same as the Zondo commission. Lots of talk and no action.

The issue is of damage experienced as can be seen by the Surties. They have a legitimate claim or at least so it appears. And if they are successful, can get a lot of money. But can a party enter into legal action through "crowdfunding" and then promise the funders crazy payouts? Are there any lawyers/advocates on MBB that can shed some light on this?

So, maybe this is not a "scam" but more a crowdfunding initiative for the Surties to go to court against the SARB and Banks who have the money to draw this battle out for decades.

Who is managing this crowdfunding initiatives?

The added on crowd funding is 100% a scam and the people collecting that money has nothing to do with the Surtie family.

I agree, but there are people out there I know that have funded this "initiative" and have now been waiting almost a year for the payout. But this must be a limited number of individuals as this scam has not been registered as one with any of the financial authorities or SAPS. So maybe the scammers have done a good job of keeping this one "under the radar".

Regarding the 2nd screenshot statement that the Government Bonds were issued in USD-Denominations. For a Forensic Auditing firm "specialising" in the banking sector to state that the bonds were issued in $ when they were clearly issued in ZAR is a rookie error. Just thought I would clear the air on that 1st off.

I didn't buy into this scam, or at least the crowd funding for lawyer's money part of the scam, so I don't expect to receive anything. I hope the Sureties get their rightful inheritance.
