This extraneous video aside, I'd like to add my fairly cryptic two cents into the mix: At some point in our history, scientists just KNEW that the earth was flat. Just like they KNEW that the sun revolved around the earth. Since those scientists have been proven wrong, those who perpetuate that belief find themselves subject to ridicule. Pretty much in the same way that those who opposed the commonly held scientific belief that the earth was flat were ridiculed during the time that "scientific evidence" didn't support the idea of a round earth.

I have to say that as a curious bystander who is privy to information not known to most contributors (or should I rather use the term "aggressors"?) to this thread, I'm kinda enjoying this public shaming of people in this thread specifically.

Here's to hoping history repeats itself. I've always been one to root for the underdog after all...
