Suspended Icasa head gets pay increase

How is this possible, pay-off for keeping quiet?

The pay of Independent Communications Authority of SA (Icasa) chief executive Jackie Manche went up 35 percent to R928 000 for the year to March, a period during which she spent four months on suspension.
A 35% rise for keeping the DoC happy and further entrenching Telkom's monopolistic market position.

This makes me so sick. I'm gonna ask my network administrator to block myadsl.co.za as this site only makes me depressed and negative about SA.

Quite honestly - there was R100 000 stolen, her salary over 2 months is more than that!. If ICASA workers are being paid that much - why are they battling to get staff, and why are they not doing their job? - waste of money!.

Special Assignment last tuesday (and repeated last night) did an expose on MCM (Marine & Coastal Management) which falls under The Dept of Environmental Affairs & Tourism (headed up by kortbroek -- (bliksem maar hy's 'n doooooos)). MCM is completely useless and being run completely into the ground, most notably through obvious financial mismanagement. I wish a similar expose is done on ICASA.

If only we could get the prez to see what is going on and what is going wrong it might help , this is such a deep rooted problem , it is mind numbing .

If he doesn't know what goes on in his government by now he must be blind, deaf, dumb and stupid.

And people wonder why our government is dysfunctional.

She must have some pretty incriminating pictures of Paris.

To quote Hogarth's column in the Sunday Times this week
and in foreign news...
Headline on press release by government this week,
'President Mbeki returns to South Africa'
Seriously. Verbatim
He is hardly ever in the country so dont hold your breath
