I'm aware of the difference of the Vitara & the Grand Vitara.

I still question Suzuki's positioning of its crossover/SUV models.

Grand Vitara (which is in its twilight years)

The physical size of the SX4 relative to the Vitara...seems like a lot of overlap to me.

Why not have SX4; lay out out cheaper; less tech & possibly no 4WD option. Then for a notch more the more upmarket Vitara then followed by (you guessed it) the flagship Grand Vitara.

Saw a Vitara parked in Table View earlier. Definitely bigger than the SX4 in size, but lower spec and smaller engines makes everything a bit weird. SX4 became overpriced during its lifetime and should have been sitting at Vitara pricing currently. Vitara could have been a better and higher spec'ed off roader, sitting at SX4 pricing and above. Could have been a much better vehicle.

Should've had better ground clearance, bigger engine (option for 2L at least), better interior spec. Should've had auto for AWD model etc, etc...
