Edit: (2009-04-29) Its hit Cape Town today.. they say the woman is doing okay
Goverment says its has plenty capsules of the "fix".. but won't say what it is... er... beetroot.. african potato... why hold it secretive ?
I think we should be pushing for way more information

It takes out everyone - sure, kids and the elderly are the first to succumb but relatives will stay at home to look after them. You will then have people refusing to go to work to avoid contact with other people. The place shuts down.

Pandemics are bad news - even if you are healthy.

Probably because 90% of all working people fall into that age bracket...

Notice the part where you said "sometimes can infect humans"....well I'm almost sure that there has never been an swine influenza incident as big the Bird Flu situation we have at the moment. Moral of the story...

If you are fooling yourself into believing Chicken is clean / halaal etc etc... just wait till you get bird flu. Rather take a chance and eat pork!
