switching app stores

My iTunes account is currently set up in the UK App Store but I want to download an app that is only in the Dutch App Store - is there a way to do that?

Register and login with your dutch app store ID. At the bottom in iTunes there's a little country flag that shows you the store you're in. If you click on it, it allows you to switch app store (pre-iTunes 11, I have not played with 11 yet).

Ok I was hoping to avoid setting up a Dutch account but guess I'll have to.

Your other option would be a US account as they have stuff from all the other stores.

You can just switch country without having to create a whole new account for it.

You'd think this to be the case, but I've found some apps that are only available in the UK store, and not the US one.

Pretty sure you can't actually buy anything in any store apart from the one your account is registered for. You can browse, but you can't buy.
Unless I've missed something very obvious...

But if the item is not available in the store you're logged into then it doesn't help.
