Is there an app that I can use to sync a specific folder with pdf documents with the iPad over wifi? I would like to be able to initialise sync from the pc, but otherwise from the iPad will also be ok.

TIA

Dropbox?

Goodreader. Amongst other things it is a particularly good pdf reader and you can sync files/folders over wifi.

Can Dropbox do syncing from the pc directly to an iPad?

The only way I found working was to do it through the cloud which doesn't work for me as I would like.

What OS?

Acrosync works ok, but needs a Linux or a Mac, do not know about a Windows solution other than cloud based(GDrive/Dropbox/Skydrive) or Jailbroken devices have some options as well.

THX! I will check it out. Been using goodreader as my reader for quite some time, but never thought of checking wifi capabilities

Google put me onto acrosync, but I have neither of the two OS's. On windows.

You'll find the instructions here: http://www.goodreader.com/gr-man-tr-wifi-xp.html or you can just enter the address shown when you initiate the wifi connection from the app in your web browser if you're stuck.

That is not exactly Sync, as such?

Its more a file copy. Something that I do with the help of Air Sharing (Picked up a free copy of pro on promotion back in 2008) Goodreader is a lot cheaper for OP than my set-up, but I am sure you can find free solutions for wifi folder sharing by now.

Would love to get something like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mirsad.sync&hl=en for my iOS devices.
My Sync Center, auto syncs my device with my home PC the moment it joins the network and the sync is bi-directional as well as incremental(Only changes are copied)

@AJ, I have set up the network place and then I will be using syncback to the iPad as destination.

If there is however another option that I can do without even having to touch the iPad I would prefer that.

Busy looking into Air Sharing...

How about dropping them in to iTunes - a wifi sync can be triggered from the computer.

Not 100% sure how to do it, but will google a bit

Your machine and iPad are clearly on the same WiFi... Open iTunes, plug your iPad in, in the Summary tab you'll see an option to "Sync with this iPad over Wi-Fi" in the "Options" section, check the box and hit "Apply".
On your iPad, click Settings/General/iTunes Wi-Fi Sync/Sync Now.
After you've done this the first time your iPad will sync to your machine whenever both devices are on the WiFi and plugged into a power source.
