Syncing Audio with Video

Hey guys, I recently downloaded a movie and the audio is slightly off the video.
Not by much, but it can really get annoying at times, so i was wondering if anyone could help me by recommending a good program in order to sink audio with video.

ha ha! I can't tell you how to fix it, but i can tell you why this happens.

If a frame has a glitch, then it causes a slight freeze. The audio continues as per normal. Now one or two freezes are fine, you won't even notice. however the more this happens the worse the delay.

Sometimes pausing or seeking works, because it resets the audio/video sync.

there are supposed to be programs that can take out the bad frames, i've tried these and they don't work.

the whole problem is actually caused by compression especially from mpeg2 to divx.

did you no the pvr records it's movies in mpeg2
