I'm not sure if anybody has tried this, but anyhow.

Background - I would like to receive my emails on the move, and work remotely on the odd occasion. My work allows remote access via VPN using their laptops. I do not want one of their laptops as my desktop handles my applications considerably better.

I can get a Blackberry and use BES, but I'd far sooner prefer to respond to emails and send attachements etc via Outlook. Is there a way I can sync a Blackberry to Outlook so that when the mail gets pushed I can receive it on the BB, sync it to Outlook, save/view attachments etc, and the reply on Outlook via the Blackberry.

To reiterate, I cannot just use the BB as a modem as then I'd have to use the VPN, I have to use BES.

Here are your options

If your company has an exchange server with outlook web access, get the outlook web access url. Log on to BIS/BES using your browser. www.mtn.blackberry.com for MTN for example. Set up and email address, select the outlook web access option, put in the outlook web access url and there you go, you will have a new icon on your blackberry.

If your company has other hosted email, get the POP or IMAP settings from whoever. Do the same as above, just select POP or IMAP and put in the settings.

Hope that helps.
