Systems Engineer

A well-established technical services company is looking for a Systems Engineer to join their dynamic team. This person will report to the Technical Director and may be required to accommodate international working hours.

The duties will be:
To provide support to managed services customers with regards to Technical Support, Incident Management, Change Control, Escalation and Maintenance Upgrades.
To deliver value added services to clients through effective business environment analysis and enabling clients to leverage the benefits of IT in their operations.
To efficiently log all incidents and service requests received via email and telephone.
To understand and document customer needs accurately in the helpdesk in order to enable a speedy resolution of escalated service requests.
To be accountable for service requests from inception to completion, working according to strict guidelines and against tight time constraints.
To assist the company in building and maintaining a world class service desk by making sure any user interaction with the service desk is a rewarding experience.
To manage customer relations effectively using specific circumstance and customer SLA guide in order to provide the service in a respectful, courteous and decisive manner.
The ideal Candidate must possess the following Technical Skills:
Deploy, manage and troubleshoot Windows Server 2008 - 2012R2;
Exchange Server setup and administration; Office 365 migrations and deployment
Active Directory, Global Policies and Logon Scripts; Enterprise Antivirus solutions and management tools; Comprehensive knowledge of wired and wireless networking and connectivity equipment; Practical experience of network protocols and management.
Experience of connectivity via ADSL/3G/Diginet/Fibre and Wireless internet connectivity.
Managing and maintaining current Windows desktop Operating Systems
Support of common applications including MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Antivirus deployment.
Thorough knowledge and hands on experience of server, desktop and laptop hardware predominately HP and Dell as well as Printer/ scanner installation.
The candidate must be Microsoft certified and have at least 5 years-experience working within a similar environment.

Able to take responsibility, troubleshoot problems and pro-actively implement the solution.
