T-fal pans are fantastic. I have been using it for years. In the red dot is a pattern. When you warm it up the pattern will dissapear. That means the pan is ready. This is a huge advantage. With other pans you never know when the pan is ready. One tip, dont use the highest setting. Rather use medium heat. You will find the balance after a while. I never knew about the red dot pattern disappearing, I'll look out for this when I make snackwich this afternoon. :)

My AMC pots have been on lay-bye for almost 2 years now....I have no idea when I'll get it. Not that I mind, I need any excuse not to cook.

Jamie puts on some red lipstick and smooches the red ring onto those ones :D :p

While I am a fan of heavy based stainless steel myself I tend to find that the taste of the food lies with the cook preparing the meal rather than what pot he/she is doing it in.

Tbh SO is the cook. I am more into baking/sweet meats. But these days everyone is on diet so all my sweet goodies have been canned :(
