Table View, what speeds do you get?

@ Yuu: Can we do that? Moving from one exchange to another? I think Tekom figures out which one is closest to your home and puts you on that automatically. Although that exchange is the only one I have seen around Table View anyway. It's very easy to see from far, with its 2 antenna towers. Anyway, the DSLam I'm on (Table View 9 I guess) is the only DSLam that can handle hispeed connections (> 1MB) in the whole Blaauwberg area, according to my Telkom techie. And that one is (or was) totally congested. Also, I just checked the map on the site you linked. The big exchange building isn't even it it! Me's confuzzled now.

Another poster said on another forum regarding that website i linked, it is not 100 percent accurate as it looked quite detailed too me :/.

What ever information you get from Telkom will be more or less solid in comparison to the site's information.

Hope you get sorted.

@ other 10/8/6/x users, if you using Chrome there should be a plugin similar to Firefox's fasterfox which creates more connections when opening a site. If on a shaped account you may notice better performance. Please check and report back :)

Yeah, I' not far off BDGoede Circle, so I should be good at 8MB again. Will give Telkom a call, they must bump me up.

Strangely enough though, I have a mate who lives a little further away from Blaauwberg Road and he only manages to sync at 4Mbps... :/

How were you updated?

Requested it through the ISP. First they said it wasn't possible but then they just did it. I had to reduce sync through telkom and they confirmed that the exchange does support 10 mbit. First tried 8 but didn't sync either so I settled for 6 with no probs up to now.
