Hope this is the correct forum to post under Cellular : Phones, Content etc.

Without taking contracts in consideration and comparing the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (P7500)vs Apple Ipad 2, which will be regarded as the better choice. I believe the Samsung is a 32GB, so let's compare with the IPad WiFi + 3G version. Example dimension size which is bigger, faster, have USB functionality, longer battery life, overall better buy.

Thanks.

You should wait a little, either for the iPad3 or the new Asus Transformer depending if you want iOS or Android.

Having played with both, there's the iPad and then all the other copies.
The Samsung p7500 is laggy I dont care what you say, the main screen lags!
Maybe Ice Cream sandwich will fix.

I would wait for iPad 3, my Boss has one and the screen is nice, if you are into photography like he is then it's a must.

Depends what version was on the P7500.
There are a few factors why it would be laggy. Stock release firmware was TERRIBLE on the device. Using it in portrait mode with the release firmware will be extremely laggy (Note: it runs much better in landscape orientation).
With version 3.2 on the Galaxy P7500 its just as smooth as the iPad2.

And yes, ICS has shown to be a huge game changer for Android, which is why my next tab will only be bought if it has ICS out of the box.

The narrow screen puts me off, I read often on my iPad and the viewing size is much better I feel.
P7500 feels plasticky, almost like you could bend the thing in half.

My main gripe about iPad is lack of storage - 16GB is not enough, the Samsung has 32GB which is ideal starter.

Anyway I'm sure they'll get better as time goes by, but at the moment I think iPad comes out tops in terms of apps and games? no?

The screen does take a bit of getting used to. I have always found shorter / fat screens better for everyday use. (4:3 is much better to me than 16:9)
And yes the iPad is better for games and apps (Used to love some of the games on my iPad)

But i just think the iPad is way to restrictive, even after a jailbreak. But for your average consumer they won't mind.
