You really need to ask this? Please go and do a bit of research. The iPad 1 is >> the Playbook. The Playbook is way down the list of desirable tablets. You're better off comparing something like the Galaxy Tab 10.1 v2 versus the iPad2. And then it will come down to the preference of the user. On here you'll get a lot of different opinions. I skew towards the iPad.
 
If you got a blackberry phone with 3G and don't want to pay extra for browsing then get a playbook. Few etailers have them just under R3000 for a 16Gig.
I got mine for few months and I love it. You must check it out before you make your decision.
 
I have the ipad2 16gb wifi. it is ok, but i can get the playbook 64gb for a good price. My wife has a bb9360 which could link to it and then she could do her work on it at home as all her emails are on the BB. Only thing i don't loke about the apple apps is most free apps are not free. You get 1 level of a game, etc.

Price and better battery life? The latest crop of iPad2's sport a more efficient 32nm cpu.
 
When are those Asus Transform Pad 300's coming out? Those seem like the really awesome products, and I'm certain I read a MyBB article about Asus bringing them in?
 
Only reason to grab a playbook imo is if its underpriced due to being unpopular or there is something bb specific that you need to do.

I would stay away from the BB playbook just because it's unpopular... There will be very little developer support, meaning apps will be hard to come buy (This is a big thing for apple+android, there's apps galore!)
