Anyone used Tabooc?

decent pricing though

was keen to buy a Apple TV 4k from them

As a rule of thumb, products listed on the Tabooc website are not held at our offices (unless expressly stated). In order to minimize costs and aging stock, Tabooc prefers to order items from various suppliers once an order has been placed and paid for.

Orders will be placed with our suppliers once proof of payment has been received.

Your order should be available for collection between one (1) and three (3) business days after payment confirmation has been received and when full payment reflects in our bank account.

When you collect please bring your order number and photo ID with you.

Once your order is ready for collection we will notify you.
 
I also get a doggy feeling from thier website...

Want to order a ps4 from them for 4.3K but it usually retails for 5K or even 6k so not sure if this is a scam..

Can someone please help?

I made my payment on Friday last week and got the receipt. I gave them monday off and asked early on tuesday what is happening via email. No response. I just tried to call them an hour ago. No response. My item just say's processing.
I think it's safe to say this person is up to no good. I'll give them a chance and speak to the bank tomorrow to see what can be done.

So i'm not sure. But considering they might be a drop shipper I wouldn't be surprised if they're just lazy. Aswell as actually having a supply problem cause they don't actually have any stock of their own. maybe they're just trying to stall. i don't know.
Anyways They said they had 30 ps4's stock when I bought now it's 3 or 5. So you guys better buy up quick before you miss out on this once in a life time chance to get scammed :cool:

Well yesterday around this time I noted that the red dot on chat was off so I figured I'd ask a question. Maybe if i logged out i could ask with success. what do you guys think i should do?

so I went on to purchase an office item from tabooc.co.za, had spoken to Candice Lamoore who happens to also be the company owner prior to processing any payment, however, I now suspect she is running a scam, there were other red flags after I had made a payment, but most of all, I have not received a tracking number or my order after a week of making a purchase and am now struggling to reach their offices all of a sudden via their office land line that's on the website. According to their website its meant to take 2-5 days to receive an item, managed to somehow obtain her cell number and she had endless excuses, her cell number is also now off. :crylaugh: cant bliv I got scammed in my life time.
 
Damn...just found this website and had a big smile on my face as I was about to save almost R10k on an Apple product...

It does seem though like it is a one-person drop shipping show. So maybe she is just overwhelmed by all the orders (the site is literally the cheapest hardware seller in SA). But I see now that Pylon69's order is only 6...

So bummed!

I thought I should hide it for some reason but for got it on my other post.
anyways I really think she's overwhelmed but at the same time I don't see why she won't even respond to my messages though. and the dodgy interaction with that other guy. maybe she's getting as much money as she can and the just run away with it all
 
did you try calling on her cell ? she gave me just now what seems to also be a funny tracking#, which she says is with postnet in canal walk but then they don't have that tracking# on their system and and and they ref me to check with the post office in century city of which they aren't answering their phone its a damn day+nightmare. she just called me back to say she will follow up personally with them...:confused: just wanna see where all this will end up...
 
I just called her now. Though the phone line I was using was very crackly so I never got to here much of her excuses. Though she did say she was having a stock problem and that she expects to have something in hand for me tomorrow. Also said she'll call me back tomorrow and tell me whats going on. I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt and will wait for her to reply. I was just about to go to her bank and lodge a complaint

What's funny about all this is her information is everywhere so she doesn't really have anywhere to hide as far as I can see. So I really think she's just overwhelmed. Still it's **** customer service

I really want to buy something there as it is about 1500 cheaper but it seems like too much of a risk perhaps?
 
I'll reply once this get's sorted. Plus there is the other guy's. Just wait. We'll tell you what's cutting. But i got a feeling she's cutting herself to thin and can't deliver on her promises. The business is new so...
 
I also feel she is cutting herself too thin, even if she were to adjust her prices and add 5% more she could still be one of the cheapest suppliers, change her turnaround time to 5-10days and maybe have clients pay own courier but obviously negotiate for a better delivery rate with a reliable courier service.

Tabooc E-commerce - received tracking number

so this morning I went on to check the tracking number she provided and found that the item is indeed with SAPO Century City and so I await delivery which I expect to take a month if I am lucky. Will confirm once it has arrived, if the world hasn't perished by then. She actually called me like 3 times yesterday and again this morning, which I take as a good sign...she probably is just overwhelmed with workload shem...

Yeah. But can you imagine how hard it is to set up a business if you have no background or experience in. I mean, she's done quite well to set everything up it's self. Give her a few more months and I'm sure she'll have all the kinks ironed out.

lol. Don't worry. The SAPO has more or less sorted their **** out abit. Took me near 2 weeks to have my item from Japan to clear JHB custom's and reach me in my Durban branch.

I'm glad she atleast called you. Cause she must have forgotten me. Though I called in and she said they just had some trouble with the supplier (PS4 bundle). So she say's she'll have it posted on monday.

So far her correspondence has made me feel alil more at ease even if I still do feel a lingering of something funny, regardless of your tracking number. Though there wouldn't have been a problem in the first place if she'd just replied to emails or had a better update status on the website. That still doesn't make any sense to me. It's very strange....:confused::confused::confused: Not to mention that she switch off her cellphone once she spoke to that other guy, and I can attest to the validity of his statement cause around the same time I tried her cellphone and it was off. funny coincidence? I don't know
 
Well it seems like the site has been live less than 2 months. So if she already has received 2500+ orders and she’s using SAPO as her delivery partner (there was mention of RAM couriers somewhere though)...eish, she must be losing her mind. At least partner with a respected courier company and employ an assistant to answer calls. This is exactly why no-one else is so cheap, those mark-ups are to deal with overheads. Shame, she will figure it out, just give her time.

Edit: I just tried to go to website, seems like it is down...
