Tackling e-toll billing problems

we all know its easy for somebody to clone your car number plate, to use for the etoll cameras.
verification of the 3 photos they take can prove it wasnt your car... IF its a completely different car.
but i'm sure its not impossible, or even unlikely, that somebody could take the lic number of a similar car, even same color, to use?
how do you prove it wasnt u , if the car in the pic is the same model, and color as yours?
billing by only looking at the reg no is bad

Guess they will be getting a few disputes from me. I have access to a commissioner and the toll booth is on my home. Can give it off when I go and do my weekly shopping.

If someone has the same colour and model as you, and clones your plates, you've got a bit of a problem.

Some time ago someone with a corsa bakkie cloned my friend's plates. He had a corsa hatch.... so they look the same from the front. Got caught in a speed trap, and from the front angle, the only way you could see it wasn't his car..... was that the bakkie had aftermarket rims. This was enough to get him off though.

So a small modification known only to you, and which is not easily spotted, should do the trick...

Vehicle owners who have been incorrectly billed for using E-toll roads are expected to complete one Representation Form for every incorrect invoice.

So as I have understood it part of the whole problem is getting a proper invoice. By the time you get the invoice, you have to have already paid to avoid the much higher rate, so it seems a little ridiculous there buddy.

someone should just shoot this *******, get the message across that we are not here to play their games on their terms and conditions

So just how should the representation form be completed without sanral sending invoices? lmao - this is such a joke.

Each and every invoice or each and every disputed transaction (there will most likely be multiple transactions per disputed invoice)?

SCAMRAL can stop buying bogroll for the next 1000 years because they are no doubt going to be using those dispute forms for the same purpose.

What proof will be provided by SCAMRAL that a dispute form was ever handed in?

Anyone that does hand in a dispute form must insist that they be provided with printed confirmation with exact details of the dispute on an official SCAMRAL letterhead with a dispute reference number and stamped with an official SCAMRAL branch stamp (similar to bank branch stamps).

I hope SCAMRAL drowns itself in its own red tape.

That’s the word from Vusi Mona

And he looked upon his word and his words was good.

But the masses went forth
and looked down upon his word
and didn't dispute his word
and also didn't heed the bills
that was brought forth
from his word

I smell an opportunity, some lawyer firm could get everyone with errors together, then disupute the errors on behalf of their clients and drag scamral to court to pay the fees for their hours billed. Since it is Sanral's error they will be liable for wasting the time. Sanral can pay for their own red tape and the lawyers can make some money and serve the community.

Sanral website states,
No dispute will be considered, once a Final Demand has been issued...
...that the obligation to pay for road use arises from using the toll road and not receiving an invoice.
The USER of the toll road is liable for the e-toll.
The USER != OWNER, eg fake number plates, rental car, business car, ex-wife, etc.
So SCAMRAL please harass the USER and not me.

Fine, I will do that for every invoice I receive. If I don't receive an invoice FARK Sanral.

Its utterly retarded that the public are being forced to go out of their way to fix SANRAL's fck-ups.
