I've just noticed that Take 2 have upped their shipping charges. For those in major centers it's nothing but us in the regional centers are effected more severely.

R45 for shipping to Post Office (only items under R1000 and if it is "small" enough).
R160 for courier service.

Recently I looked at a webcam from them. The webcam would have been R200 odd bucks. When it came to checkout it refused to let me select Post Office shipping stating that "item value was more than R1000 or too large". Needless to say I didn't end up buying it.

Looks like I'll be using Kalahari more often now.

I'm sure this is going to affect their business. It's us regional folks who tend to buy online more often since we don't get to the PC shops in big cities/towns often. Anyone else unhappy about this?

How much to courier to your house? I'm pretty sure it's still R29. Just bought from them two weeks ago.

I always have to check shipping costs.... Some guys are just nuts on what they want to charge...

Me too. It's quite strange that one place charges you R30 for insured post and another place charges you R100+ bucks also for insured post, when the item value for the R30 one is 2x that of the R100+ one and the weight is also more.

all depends some online shops are pc stores, other's are value added couriers.
The Basically sell at tiny profit ans try to make it on inflated courier charges
