No, majority of South Africans where not being served by Eskom before 94. It is only under the ANC that it truly became a national SOE.

Wow, I had 4 paragraphs on the go trying to course-correct your ignorant, entitled remark and give you a little perspective... one PDI to what I assume is another, let peace rather prevail.

Anyway, the first thing that springs to mind here is they’re bending to board pressure to appoint a PDI in the executive. They have other dealing on the go that necessitates this.
Hopefully they make a good decision on a suitable experienced and qualified candidate...

You do realize that manager/CEO position is dominated by 50+ usually, so you would not have seen that much transformation before now for very large companies (20yo in 1990 is 50yo now). Over the next 10/15 years you will see way more "transformation".
There's also nothing stopping a lot of blacks from staring their own business, they actually have it easier than other races due to government funds set up for specifically that.

And the dude started Takealot, why can't he be the CEO of his own company? And why does it matter if the CEO is white/black/colored, etc. as long as he benefits the company? Good CEO usually means company will do well which mean more people get hired, bad CEO will cause the company to go under and people to lose their jobs, great for transformation...

Spent trillions for nothing employed thousands when not required and stolen billions from the people only to be disfunctional

What has the ANC done? Taken Eskom to the entire country including rural residents, thereby improving their lives immeasurably. The white government had a very easy job of serving only 10% of the population (using a very crude "they look like us" criteria) with Eskom.

I was part of the 90% and we had power. Maybe we weren't 90% enough...
 
Takealot is a joke. I had these pods in my trolley. They were R540 (normal price R599 with a 10% discount). Wanted to check out, but I had a surprise. They're now marked down to, wait for it ... R740 (normal price is now R897). Ridiculous.
