Takealot Deception

Shouldn't this thread title be phrased as a question, or is the OP trying to bad mouth them before they even had a chance to make right or explain? :confused:

I think the sensationalism the OP created was his way of getting extra discount and attention on the forums. I mean seriously grow up, contact the reseller and have it sorted out before jumping on the forums.

The OP should be a journalist for The Voice newspaper...
 
I did speak to the manager i spoke to last week BEFORE I posted here. He didn't get back to me by the time he said he would.
I was irritated as i was promised delivery in a personal email by last week.
No need to get personal. I've spoken to them and it's sorted.
 
always had good service with takealot , i had a issue once with different product as advertised and logged a return on there website and few days later it was sorted

This is such a south African mindset. (Just contact the retailer...)

In the US, it's straight back to the manufacturer.

Luckily he is in South Africa so there's nothing wrong with the mindset. TakeAlot served as the intermediary between the client and the manufacturer, so I think it is obvious that the client must then send it back to TakeAlot to deal with the issue. You're right about the fault being with the manufacturer, but it's TakeAlot's issue to deal with the manufacturer about it.

I bought an iPad from Kalahari last year that turned out to be dead on arrival. I sent it straight back to Kalahari. Not a ticky was I going to go struggle with finding out how to get in contact with Apple and go through that whole schlep. I paid Kalahari for a product, so it's up to Kalahari to makes sure I got a working product.

I've been buying from Takelot for years and never had any issues. I have returned a defective item once after it gave up and the process was smooth and efficient with prompt feedback all the way.
Just this morning I called them to find out the status of an order. Lady said she would check and call me back in 5 minutes, she called me in 3.
Great company in my book and would recommend them to others.
 
Just speak to takealot, I had a problem where an ipad cover I ordered had the wrong barcode on it and got delivered the wrong item.
Their aftersales is really good.
The people in the warehouse just pick based on barcodes, other than that they probably have no idea what the item is most of the time.
